Mrs Ann Baker bevorzugte die Mitted Ragdoll. Die weißen Handschuhe an den Vorderpfoten, die weißen Stiefel an den Hinterbeinen, der weiße Bauchstreifen und das weiße Kinn sind Kennzeichen der Mitted Ragdoll. Lange Zeit war die relative Ähnlichkeit zwischen der Mitted Ragdoll und der Birma ein Streitpunkt zwischen Züchtern beider Rassen.

Dabei sind die Unterschiede zwischen ihnen recht deutlich:
1.  Die Ragdoll muß ein weißes Kinn haben, die Birma darf keines haben.
2.  Die Ragdoll muß einen weißen Bauchstreifen haben, die Birma darf keinen haben.
3.  Der Weißanteil an den Hinterbeinen muss mindestens bis zur Ferse reichen (nicht höher als halber Unterschenkel);
die Birma hat viel mehr Farbe an den Hinterbeinen, das Weiß an der Pfotenunterseite läuft sporenartig aus.

Der Kontrast zwischen den Points und dem Körper muß deutlich sind. Viele ältere Ragdolls entwickeln eine dunklere
Körperfärbung, aber das ist erlaubt. Da die Ragdoll eine relativ junge Rasse ist, muss sie züchterisch noch verbessert werden, unter anderem beim Körperkontrast. Die Ragdollzüchter arbeiten daran. Die Blesse auf der Nase ist erlaubt (siehe Photo unten), ist aber nicht unbedingt erforderlich.

Ann Baker favoured the Mitted Ragdoll. The white mittens on the front paws, the white boots on the hind legs, the
white belly stripe and the white chin are the attributes of the Mitted Ragdoll. For a long time the relative similarity between the Mitted Ragdoll and the Birmans was a point of controversy.
Whereas the differences between them are quite easy to make out:

1. The Ragdoll has to have a white chin, the Birman must not have one.
2. The Ragdoll has to have a white belly stripe, the Birman must not have one.
3. The white on the hind legs has to extend at least to the hocks (but not higher than middle of thigh);
the Birman displays more point colour on the hind legs, the white extends from hind paw in the shape of a spur.

Contrast between points and body colour should be well defined. A lot of our Ragdolls tend to developing a darker
shading on the body when they mature. The Ragdoll being a relatively young breed is to be improved on some features, body contrast is one of them. Ragdoll breeders will have to work on it. A blaze on the nose of a Mitted Ragdoll is permitted (see photo below), but it is not obligatory.

Links eine Blue Mitted mit einer kleinen Flamme zwischen den Augen (erlaubt), in der Mitte ein Blue Mitted Junge mit einer zu breiten Blesse (Nasenspiegel rosa und Blesse bedeckt Teile der Schnurrhaarkissen, rechts ein Blue Mitted Junge mit einer Sanduhrblesse (erlaubt). Die Blesse kann so klein sein, daß sie nur ein kleiner Strich auf der Nase oder zwischen den Augen ist oder ein Fleckchen in diesem Bereich, sie kann ein durchgehender Streifen sein, die Form einer Sanduhr haben, sollte aber nicht breiter als das Nasenleder sein.

The size of the blazes varies from a tiny flame either between the eyes or on the bridge of the nose to an interrupted or uninterrupted stripe extending from noseleather to the forehead and to a blaze with the shape of an hourglass. Blaze must not be wider than nose.Nose leather in point colour.
