Die Colourpoint Ragdoll zeigt die klassische Colourpointzeichnung. Die Beine, der Schwanz, die Maske (=Gesicht) und die Ohren zeigen Farbe, der Körper ist deutlich heller. Viele Liebhaber dieser Varietät mögen das Gesicht der Ragdoll, dessen Proportionen kein züchterisches Extrem widerspiegeln. Die Augen sind ausdrucksstark und natürlich wirkt der Kontrast zwischen dem Dunkelbraun (Seal Colourpoint) oder dem Graublau (Blue Colourpoint) der Maske und den Augen umso mehr, je schöner das Blau ist. Jene Ragdolleute, die der Colourpoint-Varietät verfallen sind, bevorzugen die dunklen Beine. Sie lieben ihre Colourpoint Ragdoll "pur" ohne Weiß.
Im Standard der Ragdoll wird gefordert, daß der Kontrast zwischen den Points und dem Körper auch bei älteren Tieren deutlich sein soll. Es ist bekannt, daß Colourpointkatzen allgemein mit zunehmendem Alter nachdunkeln.

Mask (=face), ears, legs and tail of the Colourpoint Ragdoll display the point colour (either seal - a very dark brown -
or blue - a bluish grey). The body is lighter than the points, even in older cats. The lighter the body, the better.
Those who prefer the colourpointed pattern love the contrast between the points and the body, emphasized by blue eyes. The Ragdoll was not bred to extremes. The head is neither too long nor too short.
There should be no white on the colourpointed Ragdoll anywhere. The mask covers forehead, eyes, cheeks, nose and chin. The neck ruff is very light in colour and displays a clear contrast to the legs, even in older cats.

Obwohl viele Ragdolliebhaber immer wieder nach der Seal Colourpoint fragen, ist auch die Blue Colourpoint eine
attraktive Katze. Der Unterschied zwischen Points und Körper ist nicht ganz so dramatisch, aber dafür spricht das Graublau wohl eher Freunde subtilerer Töne an. Für die Blue Colourpoint gilt das Gleiche wie für die Seal Colourpoint - eine schöne blaue Augenfarbe zieht den Blick förmlich an und bildet einen herrlichen Kontrast zum Graublau der Maske. Entscheidung schon gefallen? Seal oder Blue? Oder doch lieber beide?

Although a lot of Ragdoll lovers favour the Seal Colourpoint, also a Blue Colourpoint is an attractive cat. The contrast of the Blue Colourpoint is not as dramatic as it is in the Seal Colourpoint. The bluish grey of the points and the lighter body
in combination with those blue eyes are stunning. Deep blue eyes emphasize the well defined mask of either the Seal or the Blue Colourpoint.
