The Ragdoll is a colourpointed cat,
pigmentation is stronger in the points (face = mask, ears, legs and
tail). In all colourpointed cats the body is lighter in colour than the
points. A good contrast is preferred. The points of the kittens
develop slowly from the area around the nose leather outwards.
The colourpointed pattern (see
photo right) is only one of three patterns. This is a Colourpoint Ragdoll. The Mitted Ragdoll
displays white mittens and white boots (at least up to hocks) and a
white chin (white belly stripe extending from chin to tail). The most
remarkable feature of the Bicolour Ragdoll is the inverted "V" that
covers part of the dark mask. Bicolours should have 4 white legs.
